Who am I?

TESTIMONY & MINISTRY: I was born again at 10 years of age, thanks to a bus ministry that took me to church where he heard a clear presentation of the gospel. At fifteen years of age, I sensed God’s call on his life to preach that gospel. While in Bible College I met my wife, Terri, and we were married in 1979. Terri’s father was a Pastor and at 16 years of age she placed her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as her Saviour. We have five children. It's been my honor and joy to have served as a Children’s Pastor, an Interim Pastor, a church planter, a Bible College Instructor, Bible College President and as a Senior Pastor—nearly 35 years of pastoral ministry in all. In 2016 I moved from pastoring a local church into itinerant ministry as an Evangelist. The Lord, as it pleases Him, continues to use our ministry to churches, men, families, teens and children. Our theme verse is First Corinthians 15:58. ENTERTAINMENT EXPERIENCE: I have had the joy of performing at the World Famous Hollywood Magic Castle, America’s longest running magic show It’s Magic!, the popular Celebrities of Magic as well as for a number of resorts, corporations and Cruise Lines. I am a magician member of the Academy of Magical Arts, International Brotherhood of Magicians, Society of American Magicians and the International Fellowship of Christian Magicians. I was so honored to be named the Audience Favorite and to be awarded the Grand Prize at the McCallum Theatre Open Call, as well as LaBrea Park’s “It’s A Talented Summer” and Morongo’s God Talent. Audiences in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Japan (just to name a few places) have been entertained with our hi-caliber brand of clean comedy. CLARIFICATION: Everything a believer does should be to the honor and glory of God--in this there is no separation between that which is sacred and that which is secular. In a ministry setting, our goal is not "entertainment" but "engagement." I often remind myself that in a church I'm not on a stage but on a platform; I'm not doing a performance but a presentation (or making a proclamation); my goal is not diversion but conversion--so we point people to the Word written and especially the Word Incarnate. A secular venue presents an amazing opportunity to be salt and light while providing high quality, clean and entertaining performances--all the while honoring the One who has given us talents, skills, abilities and interests.
